Casual Shearling

This vest is so versatile! I love it just as much with boyfriend jeans as I did with a tight black dress! It makes a plain and simple outfit memorable. Shearling might just be my new favorite thing!

Oui Oui

This outfit combines all of my latest obsessions into one; pink, stripes, cheetah print, and a big ole hat! I could probably wear this outfit everyday for the rest of my life and live happily ever after. But since that is unsanitary I will just obsess over how much I love it now.

Black and white stripes have been my thaaang lately. They give such a Parisian chic vibe that I just can not resist. My absolute favorite way to wear them is to subtlety mix prints like with these cheetah print heels. Side note: crop tops are still trendy for fall, don't put them all alway yet!

This outfit works because the short skirt is balanced by the high neck of the crop top. Then, the crop top plays nicely since it has the perfect amount of barely there stomach with covered arms. Proportions, proportions, proportions!

First Day at Gap!

I was so excited to get a job working in my local mall at Gap! Not only do I love their clothes but I love what the company stands for as a whole. Since the company has very American roots, I thought a patriotic outfit was fit for the first day!

Gap does have a very casual vibe so to dress down this JCrew skirt, I chose to pair it with a Gap short sleeve sweatshirt. The sweatshirt was perfect because it represents where Gap started in San Francisco!

The job is going great and the discount is even better!

Happy Fall!

The moment the air turns crisp I immediately pull out my puffer vests! During the fall and winter I normally wear puffer vests to school with leggings and a sweater because it's cute, easy, and comfy. Perfect for a 10 hour day of classes!

This vest is from Lands End and they have so many other cute prints as well! They have a plaid one I have been lusting over. Puffer vests are great because you can wear them super casual like I did or you can wear it with a dress and make it a little fancier. They are 100% a staple in my closet for fall!

Holy Chic....

Holy Chic I love this outfit! And what makes it even better is the price!

This "holy chic" shirt has been popping up everywhere so I just couldn't resist having one of my own. My patience paid off though, because I waited for it to on sale for $12 and then I had 30% off on top of that! You can always count on Old Navy for a good deal. But this skirt is the real kicker. It is from Go Jane and was $12.99 with free shipping! Now, you do have to be cautious with Go Jane because sometimes their stuff is too good to be true. For example, the other midi skirt I ordered looked like a used garbage bag. Luckily, this skirt was right on the money! I can totally see myself wearing it into fall with some plaid and booties! The options are endless :)

Happy first day of fall!

Sassy Boots....

Yep, these boots are my everything. It wasn't until lately that I became a fan of cheetah print just because there is a fine line between cute and tacky. But these boots passed the test. They are very well made and I love the brown tones in the pattern. Since the boots don't have a heel and they aren't full cheetah print, they are perfect to add a little sass to every day outfits. These are from DSW and come in other cool colors and prints (including glitter!)

I just couldn't wait until the weather got cold to wear these, so I have been wearing them non stop with dresses and skirts! But into the fall and winter these would be perfect with leggings or even jeans to spruce an outfit up. The moment I brought these home I knew I would be wearing them with stripes 24/7. This striped dress was perfect to go with the boots since the wide stripes offset the smaller cheetah print. And of course to complete my jungle theme, I had to put on a faux fur vest. Just call me Jane of the Jungle!

Surley Shearling...

This vest is everything! I am going to apologize in advance for being a boring fashion blogger and admit that I will probably be wearing this vest non stop the fall/winter. It is just so perfect to make a statement while staying warm! The vest is from Necessary Clothing and also comes in black.

To show off the vest, I just paired it with a plain black dress. That way the vest could have its own spotlight. To fancy it up a bit, I paired my cheetah pumps which added that extra element of fun. This vest can easily be paired with plaid and leather into the colder months too!

Mad for Plaid...

I am so excited it is finally time to break out the fall plaids. I used to struggle with plaid because I always thought I looked like a lumberjack or a picnic table. But, now I like to dress plaid up so I feel fashionable, not like I'm going to go chop down some trees.

My number one thing to do with plaid, is to throw a necklace on. I don't know about you, but I've never seen a lumberjack wearing a necklace. Putting on a necklace just steps the plaid up a little bit to help dress it up. But also, I like to pair it with skirts and leather. The leather toughens up the plaid while skirts make it girly.

Happy Fall and Plaid!
