Sunset Dreams and Starfish Wishes...

Normally, this skirt screams summer due to the palm trees and sunset print. But I was in a summer mood even though it was snowing the day after I wore this outfit! To help make it weather appropriate, I paired it with a spring baseball sweater. I love the combination of a baseball sweater and a girly skirt. It is the perfect mix of tomboy and cute! Any chance I get to add in a little tomboy to an outfit, I am all about it!

This is my finals week so posting might be a bit sporadic (as it normally is, who am I kidding) but after next Tuesday, it is back to all about the blog! I can not wait for finals week to be over, calculus has been the death of me this semester!

Leather Skirt...

During the winter, I wore this skirt with black tights and a dark color palette. But, since the leather is a light tan, it easily transitions into spring. To brighten it up, I paired it with a flowy chambray shirt. Normally when I wear this particular chambray shirt I feel like I should be working in a car garage, but since it was tucked into a skirt, the shirt became more polished. I can't wait to wear this skirt into the summer (if that ever does come) with some bright colors!

Happy Friday!

Chunky Grey Sweater...

At this time of the season, all of the heavy winter clothes go on sale. I usually stock up on the winter basics to take advantage of the good deals so for the next winter season, its like I already have a new wardrobe. But, since it has been such crummy weather here, I couldn't wait to try out my new clothes.

This chunky boyfriend sweater from Banana Republic was only $13.99! It is a staple for your closet and can just as easily go with leggings and comfy boots! But, since it is technically spring here, I wanted to brighten the sweater up. In order to make it more "girly" and "springy" I actually paired it with my favorite bathing suit cover up! It is just a flowy dress that has a little flare at the bottom. Somehow, it was the perfect amount to balance out the sweater. This just goes to show that you should always think outside of the box when picking out an outfit!

Denim and Cheetah..

I have had this fun pencil skirt for a few months before I actually figured out how I wanted to wear it. Because of the tight shape and cheetah print, it can very easily venture over to the sleazy side. I knew I did not want to wear it as a business outfit or as a sexy skirt so, to be sure it was cool and classy, I decided to dress it down. Throwing on a jean jacket and simple white v-neck made the skirt have a casual vibe. It made the skirt totally appropriate for day time, while easily transitioning to night. Honestly, in the spring I throw a jean jacket on with everything!

Have a great week!

Sun Hats and Stripes

It is finally time to break out the sun hats! Big props to my mom for spotting this one and making me try it on! It is a great panama hat because it is a true white color so it will go with almost anything. This hat just begs to be worn with a bikini at the beach. The absolute best part about this hat is that its from Target! For $14.99 it is a great quality hat, so similar to the JCrew Panama hats that I basically live in!

When I first tried it on though, it was way too big. Luckily, I just snagged some hat filler from the cutest online hat store! Literally this stuff is a life saver. Not to be dramatic, but it opens so many doors for all of those hats that just didn't feel quite right on your head.  I highly, highly recommend it!

Navy Dress..

The beauty of a navy dress is that so many different colors go with it! I love both of these colors with the navy! In the beginning of spring I am always trying to wear as much color as possible.

Let's talk about these shoes for a hot sec. Anything bright and flowered print always calls to my soul but then add an ankle strap and it just put me over the top. It is perfection in a shoe! Not to mention they are only $34.99! Run to your nearest DSW to snag a pair up!

White Fur...

There was a neutral overload the other day. For some reason, I love white jeans paired with neutrals. Normally, I would think to pair the white with bright colors, but I always lean towards the neutrals with white jeans. Maybe the next time I wear them I will try something bright!
