Yes, This is as Comfy as it Looks

This outfit is literally like wearing your pajamas all day! It is perfect for when you have an 8 o'clock class and you need to look put together but you would much rather be lounging in your jammies! The paisley print is so fun and the neon striped sweater brings the outfit to life. I kept my shoes neutral since the rest of the outfit has a lot of colors and patterns going on.

To play along with the fun, comfy, and fast theme of the outfit I just did an Italian side braid. Its hard to tell in the pictures because of the sunlight but it is very loose and thick. I would love to do a tutorial if anyone wants to see how to achieve the look! It is a great braid to do if you are running out the door but want your hair out of your face for the day.

Hey, Hey, Hey Chambray!

Chambray has become my latest obsession! I feel like I gravitate to it so much when I am outfit planning. I love how easy it is to wear and it literally goes with EVERYTHING! It has a casual vibe and the ability to dress down any skirt or dress.

For this look I kept it super casual to run some errands and make an ice cream pit stop. I think the key to mixing denims is to keep one shade lighter than the other. If the shades are too close it will look like a tacky Canadian tuxedo.

I am loving this trend for spring!

Peplum and Boyfriend Jeans

I have been obsessing over boyfriend jeans and I finally found the perfect pair from Gap! I love how chic they look when you pair them with heels and a structured top. The look gives off a really cool, relaxed vibe that doesn't seem like you tried too hard but its obvious you wanted to look put together.

This outfit works because the top is tight and then goes into a peplum which balances out the looseness of the boyfriend jeans. Proportion is key in every outfit! The heels help elongate your legs so the boyfriend jeans don't look to boxy. This outfit is perfect if your going to eat a big meal because no one will even know your bloated! ;)

I can't wait to style these different ways! How do you guys style your boyfriend jeans?!

Bows, Stripes, and Polka Dots.. Oh My!!

I was feeling very patriotic in my red, white, and blue striped shirt! This skirt from JCrew is an instant classic. There are so many ways to wear it and the silhouette lends itself to so many different outfits!

My favorite combination is stripes and polka dots- I think it is so fun and playful while having a very chic vibe to it. Sometimes I think it looks like a three year old picked out my outfit when I mix patterns, but I think this pairing is very mature way to mix them! Since the fabrics are the in same color scheme and the polka dots are smaller than the stripes, the two play well together without coming off too strong and making the outfit look crazy!

Unfortunately, it was hard to tell in the pictures but the blue cardigan has sequined bows on it! Anything with bows on it is a win in my book but the sequins just took it to a whole new level! It was the perfect way to tie all of the patterns together, plus it was really cold out! My blue bow bag helped add to the bow theme, along with my bow ring (I really do love bows!)

Jackie O

This Saturday, our local museum held a vintage fashion show inspired by Jacqueline Kennedy. I went with my sister and mom, and we had a blast! It was very neat to see all of the fashion of the 50's and 60's and think about how much fashion has changed! I can only imagine the changes that the next 50 years will bring!

I wore this black dress that I absolutely fell in love with the second I laid eyes on it! The moment I put it on I wanted to be twirling under the Eiffel Tower with a cute boy ;) The swingy bottom gives the dress a fun and unique look while still remaining elegantly classic. I paired the dress with a strand of pearls, a broach in my hair, and nude heels to let the dress stand out. For a small dose of color, I carried my pale pink Tory Burch clutch that is beautiful.

I love my moms and sisters vintage outfits of choice! I think their pop of pink is so cute and a great tribute to Jackie! I am so lucky to have these gorgeous ladies to look up to :)

Yeehaw Y'all!

Since I just booked my flight for a trip to Nashville, I felt is was necessary for me to wear my cowboy boots! As I said in a previous post, I think cowboy boots are the perfect spring footwear! Since it is still mid-50's in New York, it isn't sandal weather but it isn't winter boot weather either. Thats why cowboy boots are perfect! They make an outfit while being practical for the weather!

While I can't wait for nicer weather, I am enjoying getting some good use out of my boots! How do you guys style your cowboy boots? Do you have any other good spring footwear ideas?! Let me know!

Jumping for Joy

I have a serious love affair with jumpsuits! They are literally my go to when the panic of "omg I need to leave in five minutes and I'm still in my pajamas" sets in! Its so easy to just throw it on, add some accessories and you're good to go!

For this look I went for a more casual, comfy look since I was going to work and would be on my feet all day! But the styling possibilities of this jumpsuit are endless! You can dress it up with heels or go super casual with sandals and a hat!

I am forever on the search for jumpsuits and rompers that fit me, since I do have a long torso. They either look super awkward (camel toe=not cute) or are wayyy too short! Do you guys have any cute rompers or jumpsuits to recommend? I would definitely hop on the romper bandwagon!

Blazer and Boyfriends

This blazer will forever have my heart! I mean, how can you go wrong with neon pink and a fun pattern?! I paired it with a silky tank and boyfriend jean shorts to dress the blazer down. And of course my favorite shoes from Target made the look again! I just can not get over how versatile they are!

These are the boyfriend shorts from American Eagle and I love the fit of them. They aren't skin tight and the length is perfect. I think it is very important to be aware of your body and the best way to dress it. I have known since middle school that the short shorts from American Eagle do not make me look good (like make me look 20 pounds bigger instantly- yikes) Soo I was really excited to finally find a pair of jean shorts that hit my legs at the perfect spot! I definitely recommend trying on different lengths of shorts until you find the perfect, most flattering pair for your body!
