Cobalt and Bordeaux...

This color combo has quickly become one of my favorites. I find myself seeking out cobalt and bordeaux more than anything else lately! Even more than my tried and true pink. This color combo works so well because it is unexpected. The unexpectedness totally lends itself to the cool-girl vibe that's going on with the velvet pants and fur vest. And of course, I just had to put a hat on as well!

Have a fun weekend!

Pimpin' Textures....

The Lou and Grey line at The Loft is always a favorite of mine to find cozy, cute dresses. They are perfect for traveling or running errands. But, sometimes they are fun to dress up as well. I played off of the gorgeous texture in this dress and paired it with a black fur vest. The vest totally took the casual sweatshirt dress and made it appropriate for dinner or in my case a day at work! It is the coziest outfit I think I have ever worked in- it was like wearing a big sweatshirt with a fur vest. Nothing is better than looking cute, but feeling like you are in your pajamas!

BareMinerals Complexion Rescue...

I was skeptical about BareMinerals latest venture into BB cream territory since that phase has kind of passed over. Even though it is a "tinted hydrating gel cream" it has the same principles as a BB cream. Which is why I was so surprised when I loved it SO much!

The consistency is really light-weight but it does a surprisingly good job of covering. It evens out my skin tone without looking like I am actually wearing makeup. The brush that they are marketing with it has quickly become my favorite over all of my Sigma and Morphe brushes. It gives such a light weight, even, airbrushed finish when used with any foundation.

Even if you are a die hard full coverage foundation girl, this is great for the summer or even layered as a primer underneath your foundation!

Creme de la Creme....

This pink moto jacket really is the creme de la creme! (except for when it is -5 out) Even though it was freezing, this hot pink really brighten up the gloomy winter days! We can go weeks without sunshine in Upstate New York, so sometimes ya just need to make your own! It was refreshing to break out a bright, bold color to stand out against the other, classic black winter coats. I could wear this over everything and everything! It will be such a fun transitional piece to style into spring!

Happy Fri(yay)!

It's Still Freezing...

This was probably the coldest day of the year and I just wanted to wear something big and cozy! But, I still had to go to work and sell pretty prom dresses so I wanted to look presentable! For me, this means a skirt. Skirts always make me feel pulled together but they are able to be paired with so much that it was perfect for this perdiciment.

Since the sweater is so big (I got a medium so it would be cozy!) it had to be paired with a tighter skirt. The proportions would balance each other out to help the look come together. I kept the skirt plain because the gorgeous stripes and jewels on this sweater does all of the talking! To top it all of (literally) I paired the jeweled sweater with a grey jeweled headband. Not only did it match perfectly, but it kept my incredibly annoying bangs out of my face that I thought would be a great idea to cut myself! Never again!

Have a great week!

Hot Pants....

Valentines Day is my favorite! Not because of the lovey dovey, romantic notion of the holiday, but because of the fact it is perfectly acceptable to wear red and pink all week! Pink is my favorite color so obviously I will take any chance to wear it!

This is the perfect outfit to wear for a fun, casual Valentines Day date! If you were doing something active or fun this would be a knockout. It is the perfect amount of Valentines Day while still being fun and functional!

Ooh La La...

Ooh la la! That is probably my number one most used expression so when I found this sweater at Old Navy, I knew it needed to be in my life. Since it was basic black and white, the best way to spruce it up was to pair it with a punch of pink! A hot pink midi skirt was the perfect option. Not only is it perfect for this time of year (even though my ankles were a little chilly) but the midi skirt made it fresh and fun!

Have a great day!
