Some days a coat just has to be an outfit! Especially when it has been below freezing lately, you never want to take your coat off! Thats when cute coats like this come into play. It makes a statement while keeping you warm!

Red Turtleneck...

I was getting so sick of sweaters and turtlenecks and was just ready to hibernate until I can break out my tank tops again. But then, this gorgeous red turtleneck came into my life. The color, the fit, and the whole shape of the sweater is perfect! Paired with a flared skirt it is a great winter outfit when you are so over winter!

Girly Sweatshirt....

A blinged out sweatshirt that you can wear and still look presentable?! Best thing ever. It is easy to pair this with jeans and run errands, but for work I decided to dress it up. Of course I put a chambray shirt underneath because I have been to obsessed with it lately. Whoops! But paired with a metallic flared skirt, the sweatshirt is a cozy option for a more dressed up look.

Brr Cold...

The absolute most important thing during winter in Upstate New York is a good coat! We all have out down coats for when a blizzard arrives but those aren't necessary the most fashionable clothing item ever. So thats wear the practical but cute coats come in. An everyday coat needs to be warm but still look cute! 

This peacoat from Gap meets all of those requirements. It is a classic coat in a great neutral color to go with almost any outfit. The best part it is in on mega sale right now at Gap! This color is not available but there is a really cute navy and grey that will be just a good!

On Wednesdays We Wear Fur...

Okay first I need to apologize for the sticks that seem like they are coming out of my head. This is the not pretty part of winter. I can not wait until it is spring and the trees have leaves again! I have been experimenting with different editing apps but I am far from a pro. So I promise in the future it will be better!

Anyway moving on to the fun stuff, some days it is so cold you just want to wear a blanket all day. This fur vest from Forever 21 is the perfect thing for those days! It is so cozy but still makes a cute outfit. Since this particular vest is so big, in order to balance it out the vest needs to be paired with a tighter dress or skirt. Its all about proportions!

Another Blanket Scarf Post...

This scarf is so versatile and has so many colors I can't help but wear it all the time! Not to mention how cozy it is. I chose to wear a white sweater underneath the scarf so that the colors really pop out. The green corduroys help tie the whole outfit together. These cords from Gap are by far my favorite ones ever. They are so soft and they aren't too thick so they are more flattering than most other cords on the market. It almost reminds me of how jeggings are to jeans.
