My Snakeskin Creation...

I have never been more proud to wear an outfit! After years of lusting over a sewing machine I pulled the trigger and taught myself how to sew! I can not wait to start learning how to make new things! My skirt collection will be full. This skirt will be so versatile in the spring and summer. I can't wait to pair it with a jean jacket and bright colors!

I have been wearing so much black lately! It is so unlike me. Spring needs to hurry up so I can go back to wearing my bright, fun colors!

Winter Boho...

A pair of funky pants are the best way to break out of a winter rut. Even though they still need to be paired with a sweater, it is one step closer to spring. The relaxed pants trend is going to be my favorite for spring! Its like wearing your pajamas while looking put together!

So Much Texture...

At the end of every season I find myself in a fashion rut. I am sick of my winter clothes and longing for the warmth of spring. But when it is still freezing out the heavy winter clothes are still necessary. Whenever this rut happens I always resort to my tried and true, mixing textures and prints. Especially when wearing all black, it differentiates the outfit to make each piece stand out. I can not wait for spring to come so I can break out my favorite warm weather clothes!

Camouflage....

Shocker- another layered outfit! I do not know why I have been on such a layering kick lately but it just seems like the easiest way to spruce up basics! 

Denim Dress...

When I first got this denim dress, I knew it was going to be an absolute staple for fall. But recently, I was totally inspired to transition it into winter. Since black tights were an obvious must, the black theme was the best route to take. It is way too cold to not be layering with sweaters, so a black cardi was also a must- and I was still freezing all day! This outfit was casual and cute- perfect for any day!

Cable Knit and Leather...

I have decided this is my last official week of dressing in winter clothes. Even though we are supposed to get another major snowstorm tomorrow and still have four feet of snow on the ground, in my mind it is going to be spring. So, I have been wearing up all of my winter favorites before I bid them adieu for the spring.

Since layering has been a favorite of mine this winter, it seemed only appropriate that there would be lots of layering this week. Even though spring is all about layering, there is a difference between layering because its freezing out and light layering during the day. This cable knit has been a favorite of mine, and paired with a red gingham button up, it screams winter layering. The spring version of this would be a lighter sweater and a brighter button up. 

Leather pants have also been a favorite of mine this winter. These ones are great because they are leather leggings and they aren't the typical black color. They are more of a dark brown which makes them look rich and pair with almost anything. Leather pants are so great because they add an extra element of texture to an outfit. It makes an outfit more complex and pulled together.
