Summer to Fall Leather...

This leather skirt is a perfect statement item for every season! The reason it is so versatile is because of the light tan color and the flirty shape. It is easily taken from season to season by just changing the tops and shoe choice. 

This particular outfit can be transitioned just by throwing on a denim jacket. In my opinion, that is the best way to bring summer clothes into fall! I am totally not ready for fall, but I need to start thinking about it soon enough because our two weeks of summer in Upstate New York is going to be over pretty soon!

white on white on white...

This is a wholeee lotta white! And I was so proud of myself because I made it through the whole work day and even dinner without spilling anything on myself! This is a near impossible feat for me. I have never been so careful before!

White jeans are not my favorite thing to wear because they simply are not flattering. It took me awhile to even find a pair I felt comfortable in. They are such a crisp, blank base for an outfit that I love the look of them, just not how they look on me. The pair I found that I kind of like it from The Limited. Their jeans are great when you first put them on put at the end of the day they get so stretched out. So I am still on the hunt for the perfect white jeans! Let me know if you have any favorites!

Black and Cognac Striped Shorts...

Alright, picture quality is not the best but I just really love these shorts so I had to post them anyways. They are so much more versatile than I originally thought they would be when I bought them. And they are comfy too! This soft peplum top works perfectly with the shorts because of the proportions. Since the shorts are tighter, it is best to go with something a little flowy on top! Its all about the proportions :) 

Lace Midi...

I wore an outfit almost identical to this one about a month ago except the skirt was eyelet while this has a lace overlay. So, I obviously am kinda obsessed with the chambray and white look this summer. I will pair a chambray shirt with just about anything and it really is the go-to item in my closet! Even though it is so simple, it goes with everything and can be worn a multitude of different ways. Which is great for style "chameleons" like myself. For this outfit, the chambray is girly and cute but it could easily be paired with black jeans and heels to give it a edgy, cool girl feel to it. Bottom line, I'm obsessed with chambray and think everyone needs to try it out!

Stripes, Skorts, and Célfies...

I'm so happy I dug this skort out again! It was in a pile to give to my sister but I thought I should wear it one more time before it changes closets. The last time I wore this skort I paired it with a black and white printed top, so I knew this time I wanted it to be more low key. I actually thought that I grabbed my plain white tee shirt but it was accidentally my célfie shirt which was even better! 

The white keeps this look fresh and summertime ready. Put on a bold pop of lipstick and the outfit is complete!

County Coral...

The moment I bought these shorts I knew I was going to wear them to a country concert! The lucky concert was Kenny Chesney! These ended up being perfect for sitting on the lawn and dancing around. Unfortunately, it got super cold so at the concert I ended up wearing my boyfriends jacket. He still thought I looked cute, but we all know it wasn't. I can't wait to bring these to my vacation in Nashville! They are perfect for packing since they won't get wrinkly and are so comfy to go explore! It will be very easy to transition them from exploring during the day to partying at night!

White "Romper"...

This cute little number fooled everyone! It looks like it would be a romper but it's actually just shorts and a tank! This was totally not planned, it just happened to be the first hot day here and I wanted to wear the lightest thing possible! In my mind, I was going for a monochrome look and did not realize how much it would look like a romper. So basically, it was a romper without the fuss!

It doesn't get much more basic than this outfit! There is just something about the classic white tee and jean short combination that just has such a cool girl vibe. Once you throw on a hat and some nude heels, it makes the outfit from tomboy to cool. 

Since it is summer, I have had no patience to do my hair only to have the humidity (or rain) destroy it. So I have been forced to embrace my crazy curls, and I am actually super thankful for it. I forgot how much I loved my curls and how much they fit into my personality. They may be difficult to control and straightening it is much less maintenance, but these are my curls and I love them. (check back with me in a week to see if I still feel the same after one bad hair day!)
