Brr Cold...

The absolute most important thing during winter in Upstate New York is a good coat! We all have out down coats for when a blizzard arrives but those aren't necessary the most fashionable clothing item ever. So thats wear the practical but cute coats come in. An everyday coat needs to be warm but still look cute! 

This peacoat from Gap meets all of those requirements. It is a classic coat in a great neutral color to go with almost any outfit. The best part it is in on mega sale right now at Gap! This color is not available but there is a really cute navy and grey that will be just a good!

On Wednesdays We Wear Fur...

Okay first I need to apologize for the sticks that seem like they are coming out of my head. This is the not pretty part of winter. I can not wait until it is spring and the trees have leaves again! I have been experimenting with different editing apps but I am far from a pro. So I promise in the future it will be better!

Anyway moving on to the fun stuff, some days it is so cold you just want to wear a blanket all day. This fur vest from Forever 21 is the perfect thing for those days! It is so cozy but still makes a cute outfit. Since this particular vest is so big, in order to balance it out the vest needs to be paired with a tighter dress or skirt. Its all about proportions!

Another Blanket Scarf Post...

This scarf is so versatile and has so many colors I can't help but wear it all the time! Not to mention how cozy it is. I chose to wear a white sweater underneath the scarf so that the colors really pop out. The green corduroys help tie the whole outfit together. These cords from Gap are by far my favorite ones ever. They are so soft and they aren't too thick so they are more flattering than most other cords on the market. It almost reminds me of how jeggings are to jeans.

Blush and Grey...

This color combo is quickly rising to become one of my favorites. Okay- lets face it, anything paired with a light blush pink is my favorite! Which brings me to this amazing crop top sweater from Gap. First what drew me to the sweater is the gorgeous color, then when I saw that it was a crop top I was all in. It is the absolutely perfect sweater for winter. A crop top sweater is key because they show off the skirt without having the bulkiness of tucking the sweater in. The only thing you should be careful of is that the skirt is high enough because it is way too cold for midriff in January! 

Perfect Combo...

This is hands down the most gorgeous leather skirt I ever did see. From the gorgeous light tobacco color to the fit and flare style, this skirt is perfect. The mix of these girly elements with the overall leather creates the perfect girly, tough look. Throw on a plaid shirt and the outfit is complete! When styling this skirt I thought of SO many outfits so stay tuned for more of this skirt!

Sweater Dress...

There is nothing better than a cozy sweater dress on a gloomy, snowy day. It makes a complete outfit without putting any effort in. Not to mention that a good sweater dress will keep you warm all day. Practical and cute!

There are some key things that I look for in my sweater dresses. First is always quality. Sweater dresses have a tendency to stretch out and get pilly, so if the sweater dress is low quality anyway, its just going to be a disaster after one wear. Then, I always look for something thats unique about the sweater dress so it isn't always the same ole boring dress. What I love about this dress from Express is the cowl neck and that gorgeous cranberry color. Lastly, it is all about the fit. Some sweater dresses are just to tight and with a sweater fabric it makes the dress very unflattering and just overall NOT cute. So what I look for when shopping for a sweater dress is a thinner material, that is not skin tight but loosely grazes your body. The dress also should be tapered toward the bottom so it gives the dress a flattering shape instead of looking like you borrowed your dads sweater.

Bohemian Vibes...

Yep, I am beyond obsessed with this hat from Express! The color is so perfect for winter, I will probably be wearing it with every outfit for the next three months. 

This outfit is another one of those "I don't want to get out of my pajamas today" outfit. It is so comfy and perfect for those cozy days where you still want to look cute! 

Camo, Chambray, and Croc Print....

Over the weekend my family had a going away party for my cousin who got a job in Nashville! Once I heard Nashville, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to break out this camouflage sweater. Unfortunately, no one appreciated my dedication to the theme of the party. 

To make the camo look cool and not like I was about to go hang out in the woods, I paired the sweater with a chambray shirt. A chambray shirt is a total staple in my closet and I highly recommend that everyone has one! They are so easy to wear and go with literally every single outfit!

Also, when wearing camo it is crucial to step up the bling factor. I paired my blingy-est necklace, with blingy earrings and a whole lot of arm candy to make the camo seem girly and cute! I was going to go all out with the Nashville theme and rock my cowboy boots too, but I thought that might be overkill. So, instead I stuck with my tried and true black booties.
