Mom Shorts

The moment I saw these shorts at Forever 21, it was love. And then I looked at the price tag and it was a no brainer they were coming home with me. They were less than six dollars! That is a no brainer.

Normally I am not a fan of shorts at Forever 21 because they are so short but these were a little longer than their normal shorts. Also, the high waist balanced out them hem line. With short shorts like these, it is all about proportions. If you are going to show some major leg, you should wear a shirt with a high neckline. This keeps your outfit from heading toward the tacky side. I love how this shirt not only had a high neckline, but also had a unique texture to go with the funky texture of the shorts.

Mixing textures might just be my new thing!

Floppy Hats

I'm trying to squeeze in every last bit of summer before the fall weather starts! That means I have been wearing straw hats 24/7! I didn't even think it was possible to wear hats more than I already do. I love the simplicity of this outfit but that popping a hat on makes it look totally put together.

Zac Brown Band!

The country concert tour continues! This look was for my absolute favorite band, Zac Brown! So I saved my favorite outfit for my favorite concert. I love black lace crochet because the lace makes it sweet but since it is black, it adds a little more edge. I thought this was perfect for Zac Brown Band because his new songs are a little more dark than his fun summer songs.

My favorite part of the outfit has got to be this headband I put on at the last minute. It is from The Loft which always has gorgeous, blinded out headbands. I chose to wear this one like a hippy to give the outfit a more playful vibe.

I love this outfit almost as much as Zac Brown!

Blazin' Blazers

There is just something so effortlessly cool about pairing a boyfriend blazer with ripped denim shorts. I have loved this trend alll summer. It is a great way to transition your summer clothes into fall. You could easily put your favorite summer tank under the blazer to extend the seasons of your clothing! I just put a simple white tank top underneath to keep the focus on the amazing color of the blazer.

Of course I had to add a little pink in my outfit and these pink beauties from Necessary Clothing were just the perfect touch. Since there is clear mixed with the pink it adds the perfect little whisper of pink to every outfit.

Since fall is right around the corner I decided to embrace one of my favorite fall beauty trends, purple lips! In the fall I would use more of a plum/cranberry color but since it still is summer I added a little lavender into the mix. I just think they are super cool which goes perfect with my "cool" outfit!

Summer Seersucker...

Even though I am so excited for fall clothes, I am still trying to soak up the last little but of summer. I put together a list of summer items I wanted to make sure I wore before fall came and I couldn't wear them anymore. And of course this Lilly Pulitzer skirt made the list! I am a sucker for seersucker but pink seersucker is just that much better. I mean, my favorite color and my favorite fabric?! It is just meant to be.

To keep it summery and fun I paired a frilly mint green top with the skirt. The color combination made me feel like a watermelon which reminds me of summer which means this is a perfect summer outfit! Too add a little pizzazz I put on my favorite JCrew necklace. The necklace dressed up the plain shirt and tied the whole outfit together!

Have a great weekend and soak up the last bit of summer!

Golden Summer...

Normally I love pairing crazy colors together but sometimes you just find the perfect matching pieces and they just go together like PB and J! That happened with this gold leaf polka dot tank and gold sequined skirt. I just loved how the gold skirt brought out the gold in the tank top so that the whole outfit shimmered!

I kept the accessories minimal to let the sparkly outfit do all of the talking. Since light pink and gold are my favorite combination, I used my pink Tory Burch clutch to add a little feminine touch. Theres nothing better then gold on a golden tan!

Blue Jumpsuit

There is just something so easy and effortless about a jumpsuit. It is such an quick, no brainer outfit that it's hard to believe how chic it actually looks! They can so easily be dressed up to go to a formal function or dressed down for a lazy day.

What I love about this dress is the print. The jumpsuit is such a simple silhouette so the crazy pattern makes it more fun and fancy. To accessorize I kept it simple with white earrings and shoes to make sure it didn't look too busy with a pattern.

The best part is that I got this jumpsuit from H&M for $7! So make sure to be scouring the sale racks for cute jumpsuits!
